Housebuilder supports school’s charity Easter egg hunt
An infant school in Badshot Lea has received a donation from house-builder Bellway to help fund their annual charity Easter egg trail which has become a very popular community event in the village.
Bellway, which is building new homes at Little Acres, off Badshot Lea Road, presented Badshot Lea Village Infant School with a cheque for £500, which will go towards the cost of Easter eggs at the event on Saturday, April 6.
The money raised at the event, which starts from the school at 9.30am, will go towards Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Funds – a charity that aims to brighten the lives of deaf children.
Gemma Ball, Headteacher at the school, said: “We are so pleased that Bellway is supporting our annual Easter egg trail.
“Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund works so hard to support deaf children, and it is fantastic we can help them to continue their hard work.
“This event is open to everyone, and we are really looking forward to getting the community together to help this cause.”
The Easter egg trail involves villagers collecting stamps for their individual Easter cards once they have found the hidden eggs, and then collecting treats at the end of the trail through the cumulative stamps on their cards.
